AI Readiness Assessment
An honest, evidence-based readout on whether you are actually ready to deploy AI, before you spend on tools or vendors.
What is an AI readiness assessment?
An AI readiness assessment is a structured, evidence-based scorecard that benchmarks your organization across six dimensions to predict whether an AI deployment will succeed or stall. ChatGPT.ca delivers fixed-scope assessments in 2 weeks for Canadian businesses, including stakeholder interviews, peer benchmarking, workflow feasibility ranking, and a concrete 90-day action plan you can execute with us, with another vendor, or in-house.
Six dimensions, scored with evidence
Each dimension scored 1-5 with the evidence we used. No vibes, no slide-deck theatre.
Data
Quality, access, lineage. Can AI models actually work with what you have?
Tooling
Current AI and SaaS stack, gaps, overlap, lock-in risk.
Integrations
API maturity and connectivity between systems. Where do automations break today?
Governance
Privacy, security, AI acceptable-use policy, PIPEDA alignment, audit readiness.
People
Skills, capacity, change readiness. Who actually has bandwidth to adopt AI?
ROI Clarity
Can you measure value if you ship? Are baseline metrics in place?
How the engagement runs
2 weeks, four steps, one final readout
Discovery
Document review, stakeholder interviews (typically 5-10), tool stack audit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the paid assessment different from the free scorecard?
The free scorecard on /tools/ai-readiness-scorecard is a self-serve quiz that gives you a directional read in 5 minutes. The paid assessment is a 2-week consulting engagement: stakeholder interviews, evidence-based scoring across six dimensions, peer benchmarking, workflow feasibility ranking, and a sequenced 90-day action plan. Both are useful at different stages.
How is this different from the AI Audit?
The Readiness Assessment looks at whether your organization is set up to succeed with AI: data, tooling, governance, people. The AI Audit looks at where AI can deliver the most value: specific opportunities and ROI. Most clients run the assessment first if they have not deployed AI yet, then audit when they are ready to pick projects.
What do the six dimensions cover?
Data (quality, access, lineage), Tooling (current stack, integrations), Integrations (system connectivity, API maturity), Governance (privacy, security, policy), People (skills, capacity, change readiness), and ROI Clarity (whether you can measure value if you ship). Each scored 1-5 with evidence.
How long does it take?
2 weeks for the standard scope. Week 1 is discovery and interviews. Week 2 is scoring, ranking, and the action plan. We can compress to 1 week for very narrow scope or extend to 3 weeks if there are 4+ business units involved.
What does the 90-day action plan include?
A sequenced list of concrete fixes (data cleanup, tool consolidation, policy drafting, training), with owners, effort estimates, and a recommendation on whether to execute with us, another vendor, or in-house. We do not assume you hire us for follow-on work.
Do you do this remotely or on-site?
Both. Most assessments run remotely with video interviews. For Canadian clients within Toronto / GTA we can include an on-site kick-off day. On-site for other cities is by arrangement.
Not sure where to start with AI?
A 2-week readiness assessment will tell you honestly. Or try the free scorecard first.
